Online Auditions for the franchise ran for about ten days (February 9-19, 2013). Numerous hopefuls and uploaded their videos containing their renditions of some popular and critically acclaimed songs from the past up to the present and registered on the official website of The Voice of the Philippines. Specific details relating to qualifications and the entire process of registration were the following:
- Must have Filipino ancestry;
- Must be 16 years old by June 2013, or older;
- Must upload or give a video link which shows the auditionee singing an entire song;
- Only A Capella performances are allowed (no minus one tracks and should not play any musical instrument); and
- Register and submit video by logging on to thevoice.abs-cbn.com.
