It all started in Holland, gained worldwide recognition in the United States, and this 2013, The Voice is coming to the beautiful paradise of the Philippines where singing is an established culture. The Voice of the Philippines is the newest reality offering of the giant network ABS-CBN which is based on The Voice of Holland- a novel creation of Dutch television producer John de Mol (the man behind production companies Endemol and Talpa). Acquisition for the rights of the franchise was finalized by ABS-CBN back in 2011, the same year when The Voice US rocked the american soil with NBC as its official broadcaster. Confirmation was then made via twitter by Director Laurenti Dyogi who is also the prime brain working on phenomenal reality shows like Pinoy Big Brother, Pinoy Dream Academy, Pinoy Fear Factor and Junior Masterchef Pinoy Edition. With such confirmation, the franchise was concluded to be an official addition to Dyogi's production unit. Personas who would be working on the show were revealed through a series of video teasers and announcements. First revelation was the main host Toni Gonzaga and social media correspondent Robi Domingo. It was followed by the star studded set of coaches- Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Mañalac, Lea Salonga, and apl.de.ap. Recent announcement was Alex Gonzaga's inclusion in the show who will be added as the second social media presenter. The Voice of the Philippines is the fourth national franchise in the Southeast Asian region after The Voice Vietnam (whose second season premieres this May), The Voice Thailand, and The Voice Indonesia. This June, the whole world will witness the amazing contenders who are determined to fight in order to win the title "The Voice of the Philippines."
